Gifts to Theatre contribute to...
The Theatre program at Muskingum University provides students with a dynamic blend of theory and practice, offering hands-on opportunities onstage and behind the scenes. Through work as performers, technicians, designers, playwrights, and more, students engage in a comprehensive theatrical experience through classwork and co-curricular opportunities. The program features immediate opportunities in productions and classes, allowing students to hone their craft and build their confidence for opening night and beyond.
Muskingum Theatre fosters a supportive community where students are mentored by experienced faculty and collaborate with industry professionals. Program highlights include first-year student productions, a musical theatre minor, professional conference presentations through the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, travel to the Stratford Shakespeare Festival over the summer, active student-run organizations, Living History internships at The John & Annie Glenn Museum, and connections with recent and past alumni who share their stories and advice. Graduates of the program excel in a wide range of careers, in creative, educational, and management fields, and often choose continued education through graduate work in their area of interest.
Your gift helps provide Muskingum Theatre students with transformative experiences, such as access to professional workshops, scholarships, advanced technical equipment, and more. Every contribution directly impacts the creativity and success of our student performers and creators.
